This is a pre-war Voigtlder Perkeo camera. This is the model with the folding viewfinder believed to be from 1932. The camera was originally designed to be the smallest camera in the Inos line-up. The name perked came from the German word for dwarf, due to the size. It is a very small camera, that uses 127 film (still available online(, to give a good size of negative. The camera features the ability to pre-set the focus before opening the camera for fast shooting. The camera has been film tested.
Voigtlander Perkeo (3x4) 127 film camera
The camera has had a roll of 127 film put through it. All functions work as expected. Shutter speeds seem accurate and the lens extension is snappy. The bellows are in good condition for their age.
There are a couple of issues with the camera. There is a mark on the rear where someone at some point has decided to cover the red windows with a piece of surgical tape. This has left a brown residue in. the centre of the back. Secondly one of the clips to close the back of the camera is missing. I was concerned about this initially, but having put a film through the camera there were no light leaks observed.
Sample images from the camera are uploaded. The negatives went missing for a while and were found in a pile so any damage is from t hat storage. Also when shooting the film I missed alternate frames due to not understanding how the two windows work.
